Modifications of the ZX-100EL 55/63 – a new type of thermoplastic elastomer, based on polyester. Modified ZX-100ELs, as thermoplastics do not require vulcanization to obtain optimal characteristics. It is created to be used in the rubber and plastics industry and it helps to combine the wear resistance of the treated elastomer. The material has the average hardness in the range of 55 to 63 according to the Shore scale (D), whereby it is possible to achieve a favourable balance between chemical resistance and mechanical characteristics. Its sufficiently high elasticity, impact resistance, abrasion resistance, tensile strength and burst resistance in a wide temperature range. The mechanical properties of the ZX-100EL remain at a relatively low temperature. ZX-100EL is quite resistant to interaction with conventional chemicals: solutions of mineral acids and alkalis with weaker than average concentration of oils, organic solvents and hydraulic fluid.
